Warner Bros. Believe in Joker, What I’m Streaming, Make Me a Jedi!

Netflix’s Dark introduces a tangled timeline in fictional Winden

This week I talk about how refreshing it is when studios show confidence in their movies, a few of the shows that are keeping me awake at night, and how I felt about Star Wars- A New Hope in the “Make Me a Jedi” segment. As an afterthought, I talk about a little movie from Sony that premiered this week- Spider Man: Far From Home.

Make Me a Jedi- The Phantom Menace

If I’m going to get serious about this Jedi thing, here’s where it starts!

I’m starting with episode 1.

Initially, I thought about going back to 1977 and starting with what was then known as plain old “Star Wars”- but if there’s an episode 1 why not start there? So, I’m excited. It’s the first thing on my “to do list” when I get home from work. If I’m going to get serious about this Jedi thing, here’s where it starts.

To find out how I felt about Episode 1- The Phantom Menace, check out After The Snap the Podcast on Tuesday afternoon. We’ll also be discussing the X-Men franchise and, of course, any pressing news coming out of the Cinematic Multiverse.

While you’re here, check out the merch at the Snap Survivor Shack or click that “Donate” tab to support the show! Talk to you TUESDAY!!

This will help me know what you love and want more of, and what you don’t want any part of. Please take a couple of moments to complete it! Also, prepare to hear about it for the next couple of months so I can get a good sample of responses. Thank you in advance!

Eyeing “Avatar” in the box office race!

News

Also, word on the street is Disney has pulled the plug on Rian Johnson’s Star Wars trilogy. The superhero horror film “New Mutants” has had its release pushed- AGAIN! Now it’s set to premiere on April 3, 2020. That’s two years after the original release date of April 2018. James Cameron congratulated Avengers Endgame for passing Titanic in the highest grossing movie category. There were those who thought he would be bitter. The movie was #1 or #2 for two decades. Nothing to be upset about there. Speaking of Avengers Endgame, it will hit Disney + on December 11.

Join me on Tuesday for the next installment of After The Snap! We will cover some news and do some X-Men talk ahead of Dark Phoenix.

PS. I’m still looking for help with explaining the Avenger’s Endgame time travel formula on the podcast. Use the “Contact” tab to volunteer! Oh, the secret word in this episode was “monopoly“!! Thanks for dropping in, I’ll catch you on the flip!!
